Black & White Photography

Digital black & white photographs look stunning if captured and processed correctly. Having spent the first part of my photography career photographing with and processing black & white negative film, 35mm, 120 & 5×4 sizes, and then making prints in a ‘darkroom’ using an ‘enlarger’. I have first hand experience and an understanding of black & white images and the process in creating good strong black & white photographs. Having this experience, in my training, I have developed my skills into creating black & white images using digital files and software.

I love taking photographs in black & white and some of these images are made from the ‘wet darkroom’ process of using chemicals and printed on ‘fiber base’ paper using an enlarger. It’s a skill that I will always have and is not used much by photographer these days.

I work towards documenting, using black & white techniques. Check out more of my work at Chris J Parker
